MORTIIS DISCUSSES UK AND EUROPEAN DATES, LAUNCHES FAN-DRIVEN REMIX WEBSITE
OSLO, Norway - Mortiis is giving fans an opportunity to get creative
with the tracks from “Perfectly Defect” through the newly-launched
“Mortiis Remixed” site (www.remix.mortiis.com).
The site is a forum that allows anyone with access to music programs
such as Live, Cubase, Logic, and Garageband, etc, to download separated
tracks and loops and create their own remixes. “Or simply abuse at
will,” Mortiis laughed.”
The fan-created tracks can then be uploaded to the remix site and
shared with the rest of the forum on the remix player.
“Perfectly Defect” was released in the fall as a free digital
download. Mortiis supported the release with a winter European tour
with Combichrist and will return to the UK this summer for another
jaunt with Combichrist. Additionally, four mainland Europe dates have
been added to the tail end of the tour.
“It’s been too long since we played in the UK,” Mortiis said. “We’re
bringing over a new sound and a new band since we were last there. I
think people will be surprised. It’s a new monster now. We’ve turned
our backs on a dark past and we look forward to a brighter future.
